Mr. Mullsteff,
Thank you for coming to my high school today. Truthfully, my friends and I were expecting some cheesy video with pop music that told us not to drink and drive. It really was a huge wakeup call for all of us to see a real life story about a kid just around our age. Most of my friends and I, including myself, now I realize are really careless drivers. We all talk on our cell phones from time to time, and definitely speed. Today we all learned to really slow down, because life is just too precious to make a stupid mistake. I have been in an accident where now I realize we were being looked out for by the man above, we were going sixty, completely fooling around, ran off the road into the woods. We hit a ditch, if we hadn't hit the ditch we would have wrapped around a tree, who knows what would have happened to us. After the assembly the three of us in the car made eye contact and it really clicked that we were fortunate to be alive.
Thank you for coming, you have really made a difference.
Marisa
This Saturday's Driver Safety Program was one of the most valuable community education programs ever offered at WJ. There was a wealth of great information shared with the participants. The founder of the Foundation for Teen Driving shared a very sobering story about the tragic death of his 19 yr old son. All of the teen drivers who participated in the skid car, gator obstacle course and the under-the-hood demo had the chance to learn new skills. Let's hope that our young drivers remember the lessons that they learned during the program.

Dear Perry,
I heard you speak last night at the Olney Lions club meeting. You did a great job, and I am sure that you have and will save many of lives of individuals that you will never know. I thank you for turning your tragedy into a blessing for others.
I have four children ages 15, 11, 8, and 4 and would like to have each of them take your teen safe driving course. My oldest turns 16 next April. Please let me know how I can register her and me for your class.
Thank you for your and your wife’s dedication to make a difference.
Sincerely,
Clark
Thank you Mr. Mullsteff. This is wonderful article for our RNews publication. I truly appreciate your (and Sue's) willingness to write this for us. This is a wonderful thing that you and your family are doing. By your example, perhaps others who have experienced such devastating losses can find some purpose & peace. This will be going in our April issue. I will put a copy in Sue's mailbox when it comes back from the printer.
God Bless,
Anita
Hi Perry,
I watched you on TV this past Saturday night. I am so proud of you. You have a wonderful message to convey to teens, parents and the general community. Your son would be very proud of you. I wanted you to know that many of my students have been writing about you on their essay (final exam). You were quite effective reaching my students. They told their parents about your presentation and they want to be careful, informed drivers. Thanks. I hope to see you again next semester.
Sincerely,
Barbara
Dear Mr. Mullsteff,
Thank you so much for coming to Garrison Forest this morning and speaking to our girls. Your presentation was very meaningful to the girls, I have heard many talking about it since our morning meeting! Tomorrow we will hand out the bracelets you so kindly brought to us and continue to deliver your message. I was very moved too by your presentation and will be passing your e-mail along to our School so that they can contact you about a presentation for the older girls. You and your family will be in my thoughts during this Holiday season - thank you for educating all of us on such an important matter!
Take care,
Jenny
Dear Mr. Mullsteff,
I am so sorry for your loss. I thank you so much for coming to our school and educating teens on driving safety. The death of your son will help save the lives of many who will change their ways of driving. You coming in and talking to us touched everyone and affected all of us. Thank you. I will think twice when it comes to driving recklessly of irresponsibly. Thanks you for your presentation.
Aida
Dear Mr. Mullsteff,
I would personally like to thank you for coming to Blake to give the great presentation that you gave. Trust me, we have had a lot of great speakers here but you and the most real and emotional speech. I could feel for you in a way because I just lost a great grandmother. But I know that nothing could compare to losing a son. I liked what you said about never feeling better. If I lost a son I would feel the same and sick of people asking if I felt better. Though I did not cry during your speech, your presentation hit me internally. I will be thinking about it when I begin driving.
Thanks,
Anthony
Dear Mr. Mullsteff,
I would like to first start by thanking you so much for coming to our school and speaking to our class about you son Sean. It was a very touching experience and it is greatly appreciated. Now it makes me think twice and three times about decisions I will start to make when I start driving. Your son Sean’s slideshow touched my heat and got to me so much. It made me want to take more precaution for when I start driving and it made me want to take the driving class in which you were talking about. Thank you so much again, and my heat goes out to you and your family. God is using you in many great ways to help guide others in the right direction to help save them and others. Thank you, Christina
Teachers:
I wanted to pass on some information about an excellent presentation on Teen Driving Safety. This program was "birthed" through the death of a Damascus High School student, Sean Mullsteff, on April 4, 2004. Sean's family has made safe driving a life mission...............with an emphasis on young drivers.
The presentation lasts 90minutes but can be curtailed to your schedules. It's a HIGHLY INTERACTIVE program that covers a gamete of driving issues and shares Sean's story along with others whose lives have been cut short from fatal car crashes.
The presentation gives students a chance to drive an interactive computer program as well as participate in class activities that are designed to get teenagers to think about behaviors/decisions in an automobile that leave them at risk.
The Sean Mullsteff Teen Driving Foundation is a comprehensive driver's education program that's getting nation-wide attention. You may have seen it on channel 7 last night at 9pm. The Family and Foundation have been featured on the local and national level for teen driving programs and in conjunction with the attention that's been given to teen automobile fatalities recently. For more information about the driver's education program you can go to www.teendrivingfoundation.org.
To set up a presentation at your school/classes you can email Perry Mullsteff at info@SMTDF.org or call him at 301-253-4662.
Finally, I'd like to add that Sean was an outstanding student and individual. Sean did not drink/drug. He was a role model for many young people. Out off all the guest speakers we bring into our schools this presentation is by far one of the best (and hopefully most effective) I've seen.
